Watch Members of Metallica, Creed and Red Hot Chili Peppers Play the American National Anthem in This Cursed Mashup
Someone needs to start a petition to make this the definitive version of "The Star Spangled Banner"
Published May 15, 2019"The Star Spangled Banner" is a must at all American sporting events, meaning the country's national anthem has naturally been butchered in numerous ways over the years. That said, a new combination of sounds have resulted in the most debauched version of the tune yet.
Cringe warrior Catatonic Youths has made the ultimate anthem mashup, pairing performances from Creed's Scott Stapp, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and Chad Smith, and Metallica's Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield.
It's a truly challenging listen, but if you sit through the whole thing, you'll be rewarded with plenty of visual bliss as the video scrolls stock images of Hammett and Hetfield, as well as Stapp's mugshot.
See if you can get through the entire video below.
