Justin Townes Earle 'Looking for a Place to Land'
Justin Townes Earle is following up his recent album Single Mothers with another called Absent Fathers, and to hype up its release on on January 15 through Vagrant Records, he has shared the track "Looking for a Place to Land."

This is a soft, intimate folk number in which Earle gets very good mileage out of an airplane metaphor atop his sparse acoustic plucking. The barebones arrangement highlights every quaver in his emotive voice, and the mood holds course for three and a half plaintive minutes. Hear it below.

Absent Fathers is a companion piece to Single Mothers. They were originally intended as a double album, but the two parts began to take on their own identity and were split into separate releases.
