Harvey Weinstein Called Out by Comic Kelly Bachman at New York Comedy Club
"I didn't realize I needed to bring my own mace and rape whistle to Actors Hour"
Bachman was performing at Downtime bar for a variety show put on by Actors Hour, when she spotted Weinstein in the room.
"I'm a comic, and it's our job to name the elephant in the room," she said. "It's a Freddy Krueger in the room, if you will. I didn't realize I needed to bring my own mace and rape whistle to Actors Hour."
The reference to the sexual misconduct allegations against Weinstein were met with some boos from the crowd.
Bachman fired back, "Sorry, that kills at group therapy for rape survivors."
She added, "I have been raped, surprisingly by no one in this room, but I've never gotten to confront those guys. So, just a general fuck you."

"I was just beating myself up like 'you didn't do enough, you didn't say enough,'" Bachman later told CNN. "I had the same feelings about every time I've been sexually assaulted."
Another woman at the venue, audience member Zoe Stuckless, requested that Weinstein be asked to leave at the intermission, but was herself asked to leave the venue. In a video shared on social media, she is heard yelling, "Nobody's going to say anything?"

Hey all, I know I'm late to the conversation here. I don't usually use twitter but it seems like that's where a lot of this conversation is happening. Last night I confronted Harvey Weinstein in a bar along with a number of other artists. Bachman said she had been waiting for an excuse to leave, but that the only door was near Weinstein's table. She took the opportunity to join Stuckless as she was escorted out.
Weinstein is currently facing criminal charges of predatory sexual assault, criminal sexual act, first-degree rape and third-degree rape. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and claims that all of his sexual encounters have been consensual. His trial will begin in January.
