Published Jul 21, 2017For over five years, Limp Bizkit faithful have been waiting eagerly for Fred Durst and company to follow up 2011's Gold Cobra with a new album titled Stampede of the Disco Elephants. Various delays led some to brand it "the Chinese Democracy of nu metal," but Durst now apparently says it could already be in our midst.
As part of an Instagram Live interview transcribed by Rock Feed, Durst reportedly alleged that he had already launched the record online a year and a half ago.
Here's what he reportedly said:
I already told you guys, the album is online. I put it on a year and a half ago. It's up to you to find it... You know the game Dig Dug? It's an awesome game from back in the '80s. Dig Dug. You're going to have to dig for it to find it.
Is Durst for real? Has anyone been looking? Is anyone remotely excited over the prospect of a new Limp Bizkit record in 2017?
Adding an extra layer of doubt here, the original Rock Feed story is now dead, so make of this what you will.
