Published Aug 14, 2019A$AP Rocky has been found guilty of assault by the Stockholm District Court, but he will not serve more jail time.
The rapper pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mustafa Jafari in Sweden earlier this summer, but the attack was ruled not to be in self-defense.
Rocky received a suspended sentence and will have to pay the plaintiff's costs, but he will not spend any more time in jail.
Two associates of Rocky's, Bladimir Emilio Corniel and David Tyrone Rispers, were also found guilty.
The alleged assault took place on June 30. Rocky was arrested and charged in July and detained in a Swedish prison for three weeks.
Rocky claimed that he and his crew tried to defuse the situation, after Jafari and another man were persistently following them. He insisted that he only got physical after his security guard was attacked.
A video Rocky posted to Instagram shows himself and his bodyguards repeatedly asking the two men to stop following them. Footage released by TMZ afterwards showed one of the victims being attacked by a man that looks like Rocky.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian reportedly lobbied U.S. president Donald Trump to get Rocky released, while other celebrities called for action via social media and Swedish Fish boycotts.
Rocky was temporarily released from jail in Sweden on August 2. He performed a show in California on August 12, addressing the crowd and telling them that the whole ordeal was "scary" and "humbling."
