Published Feb 15, 2020British TV personality Caroline Flack, best known as the former host of the hit reality series Love Island, has passed away. She died on February 15 at the age of 40.
Early reports suggest that Flack died by suicide. While that has yet to be confirmed, the Flack family did release a brief statement to The Sun, which read, "We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time."
Flack recently left her post as host of Love Island after being charged with assaulting her partner Lewis Burton. He had accused her of hitting him with a lamp. She was pleaded not guilty, and was set to go on trial in March.
In addition to Love Island, Flack's decorated career included hosting work on shows like Fame Academy, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Britain's Got More Talent and The X Factor.
