Kevin Hart Defends Ellen DeGeneres Amid Workplace Misconduct Allegations
Comedian Kevin Hart has come to the defence of his pal, Ellen DeGeneres, in the wake of the controversy surrounding the workplace culture at her talk show, The Ellen Degeneres Show.

DeGeneres and executives at the show were recently accused of racism, misogyny and general workplace toxicity, resulting in an internal investigation by WarnerMedia — but Hart has come out in support of the TV personality anyway.

The comedian stated his support for Ellen in a new Instagram post, where he asserted that she is "one of the dopest people on the fucking planet," despite recent accusations lodged against her and her team.

"The internet has become a crazy world of negativity....we are falling in love with people's downfall. It's honestly sad...When did we get here?" Hart wrote. "I stand by the ones that I know and that I love. Looking forward to the future where we get back to loving one another....this hate shit has to stop."

Previously, DeGeneres had offered her support for Hart when he stepped down from his hosting gig at the 2019 Academy Awards. At the time, he stood accused of homophobia for his comedy special Seriously Funny, in which he said that one of his biggest fears is his son "growing up and being gay."

DeGeneres's team has since issued a statement on the recent accusations, but that hasn't stopped fans from petitioning to give the show to Eric Andre instead.

It's crazy to see my friend go thru what she's going thru publicly. I have known Ellen for years and I can honestly say that she's one of the dopest people on the fucking planet. She has treated my family and my team with love and respect from day 1. The internet has become a crazy world of negativity....we are falling in love with peoples down fall. It's honestly sad...When did we get here? I stand by the ones that I know and that I love. Looking forward to the future where we get back to loving one another....this hate shit has to stop. Hopefully it goes out of style soon....This post is not meant to disregard the feelings of others and their experiences....It's simply to show what my experiences have been with my friend. Love you for life Ellen...
